Black Belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu

Born in São Paulo, Brazil but moved to the U.S. with my family when I was 9.

Grew up playing football (American soccer) with the other neighbor kids in the city, we would play in the alley, in the park, on the beach, anywhere we could get a couple guys together for a pick up game.

Once we moved to the U.S. I played a bunch of different sports in high school, basketball, football, wrestling soccer.

One afternoon after soccer practice I was waiting for one of my parents to come pick me up when I wandered across the street to a marital arts class and stood outside watching the class through the window. The instructor noticed me and invited me inside and offered me to join the class. Once I stepped onto the mat that first day I fell in love with martial arts.

When my parents came and picked me up the instructor told my parents he felt I had a natural talent and they should consider signing me up for classes. After a bit of begging my parents agreed.

I joined the pre teen class and quickly rose up the ranks, I started competing winning local tournaments across the city. Once I turned 18 I started competing in tournaments in Dallas, L.A., New York, Chicago and Miami.
